EEG Testing Center for Learning Disorders

FDA Approved EEG Testing

Test for ADD/ADHD, Asperger and autism using a complete array of FDA approved EEG biofeedback

We use a combination of psychiatric exams as well as EEG testing approved by the FDA to ensure that your child receives the most accurate diagnosis of their learning condition. If your child has a condition like ADD/ADHD, Asperger’s Disorder, Autism, Dyslexia or another learning disorder, we can uniquely identify it and get to the root cause of your child’s development issues using FDA approved EEG testing that compares your child’s brain activity to normal brain function.

EEG Biofeedback Testing: What has the FDA approved and how does it help?

Just as an EKG reveals a heart condition, brain maps (EEG) provide an insight to brain function. As part of our overall examination, we use FDA-approved medical devices that take brain mappings using electroencephalogram (EEG) technology.

FDA approved EEG testing records different kinds of electrical impulses or waves given off by neurons in the brain and the number of times (frequency) the impulses are given off each second. This non-invasive, FDA approved EEG test calculates the ratio of two standard brain wave frequencies, known as theta and beta waves.

The theta/beta ratio is compared to normative databases and used in combination with psychological exams to determine if your child has a learning disorder and what condition they have (e.g. ADD/ADHD, Asperger’s, Autism, Dyslexia). We are the only organization in Northern California that has the exclusive privilege to the same international, standardized database of normed neuro-psychological test batteries often used by pharmaceutical companies in drug development and clinical trials.

How Do We Get Started?

The first step is an initial consultation. Let us answer your many questions, discuss our FDA approved EEG testing options and decide what is appropriate for you and your child.
